Best Christmas Gift EVER part IV

When I was 5 years old my parents bought me my first piano. It's a beautiful antique Wurlitzer that sits in my dining room and I'm sure much to the chagrin of my neighbors, gets played often. That was best Christmas gift EVER part I.

When I was 12 years old my parents bought me my first guitar. It was a shiny new "Garth Brooks" edition Washburn with faux cherry wood sides and back and a laminate spruce top. Pretty standard for a learner guitar and it served it's purpose well until it was knocked off the dais at church and met it's untimely demise. RIP best Christmas gift EVER part II.

When I was oh, I'll say 21? My parents bought me my second guitar. It's the beautiful and well used Taylor that I still to this day play on a daily basis. It's traveled the country with me. It's played in many a bar. It's used 2 nights a week to teach guitar lessons and twice a week at church. It's very much become and extension of me. If a day goes by that it doesn't get played it's probably because I'm quite ill. Even though they bought it and gave it to me in June, it was actually a Christmas gift. Best Christmas gift EVER part III.

And now this year. This year! My parents took my not so subtle hinting and bought me the Best Christmas Gift EVER! (Part IV.) A shiny new Gibson Epiphone mandolin. A mandolin! The second I mastered the guitar I decided that the mandolin was going to be my 4th instrument to master. The story of my discovering it under the tree is rather embarrassing so I won't go into the details. Let's just leave it at that my sister thought I was going to launch off the couch and through the roof, Daddy started crying and Mom thought I was rather disturbed. But they bought me a mandolin! A freaking mandolin people! Tears DESERVE to be shed over this!
I'll be playing said mandolin in church tomorrow. It only took me about 10 minutes to get going with it because it's the same fingering as a violin. I can't wait! Now if only I could come up with a name...

Whack-A-Mole and other favorites

Friday evening I went out to my sister's house (http://westragang.blogspot.com) to watch Julie & Julia and play with the kids. I know I'm almost 30 years old, but I had a ball crouching on the floor and playing a game with each of the kids. Guess Who with Isabel was fun. She accused me of using Ruby to cheat when I won. Like grandpa, like granddaughter. Don't play Monopoly with Daddy!

Ruby and I played Whack-A-Mole. Now I know this game is for 3 year olds, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! Great for blowing off frustrations! Still, I hope Evan was joking when she said she was getting it for me for my birthday.

Dillon, not to be left out, introduced me to the gem that is Feed the Kitty. Not to be confused with Chuck the Chog. Oh to be so little and so easily entertained!

So I had a good time. It almost broke my heart when both the girls told me they don't see enough of me. I think I'm going to have to rectify that!

Cold!

It's currently 52 degrees in my office. This is how we deal.

Monday, December 7, 2009

Oh the weather outside is frightful

It's currently -11 with a brisk wind out of the East. My brother-in-law's grandparents have the right idea - Arizona for the winter!

I only have one more Christmas gift to buy! I ordered the kid's today, it should be here sometime next week. Now if only I could get up the gumption to finish decorating...

Ahem

I turn 30 in exatly 105 days. 30. Years old. I remember my dad's 30th birthday party. It had a little kids theme with pop guns and coloring books. This is precisely what I DON'T want for my 30th birthday. I want to go to Plonk with my girlfriends. I want to nibble at an over priced cheese board while I sip some "elegant" wine. I would like very much for my sister to join us - hint hint, Evan!

That is all. Carry on.

Really Trully

I'm really trully back to blond! Yay! Never again will I let one of my friends talk me into dying my hair dark!
I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving. I'm just tonight starting the process of Christmas decorating. It's going to take a while because I'm trying to clean out my cupboards, book cases, drawers, etc. while I'm at it.
Tomorrow starts another busy week. Hope you have a good one!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Here's hoping everyone has a happy Thanksgiving. Eat lots of turkey and too much pumpkin pie. And then take a nap in the sunny spot.

RIP Froggers

I came home from work the other night to find aquarium rocks strew across the livingroom and my frog tank shattered. Needless to say, the frogs didn't survive the cat-astrophic impact of ice berg Suki. Or Rory. I still haven't figured out who knocked them to the floor. Either way, Jose and Raule didn't last a month. No more amphibians for me!

Thursday, November 12, 2009

Gah!

I woke up this morning to 14 inches of snow on my car and an un-plowed lot. If I get home before it's dark (which is not likely) I'll post pictures. Looks like we'll have a white Thanksgiving after all!

In other news, I'm running a great Black Friday sale!

Good Times

Halloween 2009 was awsome! Jenny made some yummy snacks, we drank some wine, we laughed. A lot. And for once there wasn't any drama!
Don't laugh at my costume. It was meant for a short skinny person, not a tall skinny person. Oh well. Next year I'm going as a female mobster. No chaffing from cheap itchy fabric!

Saturday, October 31, 2009

um...

Yesterday I had somewhere between 5 and 10 ideas for things to post today. Now I can't remember a single one. So I'll just say happy birthday to Isabel and wish everyone a happy Halloween.

They have names!

I've named my frogs! The lighter colored one is Jose' and the darker on is Raule. I chose those names because every time I think of cartoon frogs I think of the one in the old cartoon with the sombrero and pencil thin mustache playing the guitar. I have no idea what that frog's name was, but he was obviously Mexican so I chose Mexican names. I now have 5 pets in 430 square feet. Good thing 3 of them are in aquariums!

New Pets

These are my African Water Frogs that are as of yet unnamed. Anyone want to make suggestions? Evan, I'm talking to your kids on that one.

Whoop whoop!

If I had a macro lense for my camera I'd show you that my Christmas Cactus is budding. In October! It bloomed for the first time last April so I thought it was an Easter Cactus but now I'm wondering. Anyone know how you can tell? Is it possible to be both?

Monday, October 12, 2009

Gah!

$80 and many many processes later my hair is still...BROWN! But! It is now very close to my Mom's mousy brown/dark blond color. I somehow feel that this is a small victory because from here I can simply heavily highlight it back to my beautiful blond.

In better news, Zippy the Wonder Lemon is a freaking stud! I was backed into by a Caddilac this afternoon in the Hastings parking lot. The Caddy's rear bumper completely folded in on itself. Zippy didn't have a scratch. Oh yeah, today I'm loving that car!

Marlo, the next time you try to talk me into dying my hair I'm going to laugh...at you, not with you.

Tuesday, October 6, 2009

Lighter...sort of.

So I tried lifting my hair color tonight but I didn't use enough peroxide. It went from dark brown to medium brown. On the upside, it's still in really good shape. I'm going to wait 48 hours and see if I can lift it to light brown and then another 48 hours to dark blonde, etc. So in about 8 days I should finally be my normal ultra blond self?

Whoo!

Sick of the red. Going back to blond. Ev thinks I should leave the red on the bottom and just do blond on top. Thoughts?

Monday, October 5, 2009

Snow!

I couldn't believe how much snow was on my car this morning! There was at least 4 inches. SO NOT READY FOR THIS! I'm from Oregon. We're a warm weather people.

Going to my happy place. In case you're wondering my happy place is a warm, sunny beach.

Where did the weekend go?

It's seems like I left work an hour ago, but it has actually been two days. Where'd the time go? I'm looking at my weekend to-do list (yes, I make to-do lists. Go ahead and laugh.) and I've accomplished only 2 of the 19 things on it. It's 7:37 on Sunday. I sure hope this isn't a sign of how my week's going to go!

Sunday, September 27, 2009

Violated!

I feel so violated! Zippy the Wonder Lemon was stolen over the weekend. Bozeman PD brought her back to me 7 hours later and other than being out of gas she was completely unharmed. My iPod was even still in the center console. That was quite possibly the worse 7 hours of my life, not knowing where my almost paid off car was. I never want to do that again!!!

New Hair!

I hate how large my forehead looks in this picture, but it's the best of the ones I took. This is my new hair. Love it, hate it, don't really care. I like it and that's all that matters.

UGH!

After a very busy summer of fast food and working too much I've noticed that I've packed on a few lbs. I haven't worked out for about 6 weeks either. SO! Since schools back in and the busses start waking me up at 6:30 every morning I've decided to start working out again. I'm doing the 30 Day Shred (Jillian Michaels) again. Two days in and once again I can barely lift my arms, but no pain, no gain!

What the???

Yes, those are mice. That bucket they are in? That's my cat's food bin. I have suspected for some time that something was getting in there because everytime I get to the bottom of the bucket I find little black pellets in there, but I never expected to open the door to the closet and find that. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Let me back up.

I was sitting at my desk, checking my email and I kept hearing a rustling noise coming from the closet. Suki likes to play in there but I had a lock installed on the door about 4 months ago so I knew it wasn't Suki. Knowing it was probably something I didn't want to see I was doing my best to ignore it. However eventually my curiosity got the better of me and I decided to have a peek. I got up, unlocked the door and stuck my head in. Out of the corner of my eye I saw something small and grey hopping in the bucket. Of course at that point I screamed and slammed the door so hard that I knocked the bulleting board off the wall and onto my head.

For about two seconds I considered calling my father and not asking but demanding that he drive into town and GET RID OF IT RIGHT EFFING NOW!!! Then my cooler head prevailed and I realized that he'd probably just laugh at me. I calmed down, sat back down at my desk and continued reading my email. And then I got curious again. I wanted to know exactly what kind of grey furry thing I saw jumping in the bucket.

I open the door to the closet again, which at this point is again locked because, you know, that tiny little grey thing might just get out of that nearly empty bucket, sneak into the main part of my loft and nibble me in my sleep don't you know? And then I had the brilliant idea of taking a picture of whatever I found because you know, I live in a second story loft and no one's going to believe that I have a thus far unidentified grey thing in my closet.

So I see that it's this tiny little grey mouse. Seems innocuous enough. But then I notice that in the other corner of the bucket there's another little grey thing twitching and I realized that I have not one but TWO tiny little grey things in that cat's food bucket. TWO! MICE! IN MY APPARTMENT!

Les, the building maintenance man, is going to get a call about this. Just as soon as I quit freaking out.

Ear Flipper

About 5 minutes before I had to be at church yesterday morning I looked in the mirror and decided that I didn't want to wear the necklace I had just put on. As I was picking up my guitar with my right hand I took it off with my left hand. OK, actually I just tried to take it off. About half way through the motion I felt a shart pain in my neck and I haven't been able to turn my head since.

So. Last night I didn't sleep very well. No matter what position I layed in I was only comfortable for a couple of minutes before my neck started hurting again. I think I finally fell asleep around 4. You know where this is going.

I still haven't figured out how she did this but Suki crawled up into the bed somewhere down around my feet without untucking the sheets, snaked up the blankets next to my legs and then poked her head out right next to my face. I must have breathed right in her ear because I woke up to the sound of her ears flipping back and forth. Usually I find this sound to be quite humorous but at 4 in the morning? I think Cole rubbed off on her more than I'd like.

Before you ask, he has a nasty habbit of txting and waking me up at 3 a.m.

Update: I just realized that 3 of my last 5 posts are about one or both of my cats. I need to get a life.

Look, Mom! I won!

This is the Queen of Retail Sales pin. I won it tonight at Tuesday Night Live, my Mary Kay weekly success meeting. I only get to wear it for the next week and then I have to give it to next weeks winner, but I'm determined that this little guy and I are going to get to know each other real well. Oh yes.

Demon Cat

She looks so sweet and innocent, but sometime around 6 a.m. yesterday she transformed.
As I said, it's around 6 a.m. I'm curled up all snug in my bed, vaguely aware of the construction going on down the street. Just when I was about to drop back into peaceful slumber I heard it.
The best way to describe the horrible sound I heard is to tell you how to recreate it. All together now, press your chin to your chest, open your mouth wide and let out the lowest pitched, "Mreaowr," that you can. Go ahead, try it. I'll wait.
There! That's the sound that came out of my usually very sweet Suki! I thought someone had let an African Lion into my bedroom! It was horrible! I opened my eyes and looked at her and all she did was tip her fuzzy little head to the side and in her usual sweet voice said, "Meow?" and then hopped off the bed to leave me to TRY and get two more hours of sleep before work.
I decided to go work out instead. But that's a story for another day.

What to do?

It's the weekend and for the first time in a long time, I have no plans! And I like it! The apartment is already clean so I can check that off the list of possibilities. I could go out to my parents and do laundry? I'm actually running low on foundation garments so that may be a good idea. Catch up on season 11 of Big Brother? Watch all the instant view movies in my que on Netflix? Walk downtown and stare into the fence at Sweet Pea because I'll be danged if I pay $15? There is of course praise team practice and church on Sunday, but that kills what? 3 hours? That leaves a whopping 45 left to fill! What to do, what to do?

More Mary Kay!

I made it to my first meeting tonight since April. My darling recuiter Heather txted me yesterday afternoon and asked me how things were going and said that she was going to try to make it to the meeting tonight. I told her I'd try to make it and I did! Now I'm going to be a woman of my word and go next week too, even if I have to show up late like I did tonight. The important thing is setting the goal and getting there!
My next goal is to book a party in August. I don't care when it is in August so long as I have one. The only business I did in July was a couple of re-orders and that's just not going to cut it!

Up next: Recovery.

Shirley had a successful surgery yesterday in Billings. It took her longer than expected to wake up, but everything went well and she is expected to recover. Thank you for your prayers!

Prayers Please!

Apparently Cole's known for a week, but I just found out tonight that his mom is having open heart surgery this coming Tuesday to replace a valve in her heart. Please pray for God's guidance for the doctors, strength for the family and a speedy recovery for Shirley! Every single prayer helps!

Rebecca!

This lovely lady, (the one on the left) is my long time friend Rebecca. We've known each other since we were 4. I'm now just shy of 30 so do the math. Anyway, she and her family are moving from Boise, ID to St. Paul, MN and passed through Bozeman on their way. Her husband asked if she wanted to stay in Bozeman or Billings for the night and she said, "If Lindsey found out I was there and didn't say hi she'd kill me!" And she's right! We had a great dinner with my parents at Famous Dave's and caught up on 13 years of history. Then we drove around town so she could see this lovely little place we live in. I'm so glad I got to see her! Hopefully it won't be so long between visits next time!!!

4th of July Weekend

The lake was awsome! We were all eaten alive by gigantic pterodactyle size mosquitos, but the time on the water was so much fun! Of course I forgot my camera, but Friday night's sunset was fantastic. We sat in the boat and watched the sun sink behind two storms that were rolling in. Absolutly breathtaking. Hopefully we can do it again this weekend for Cole's 31st birthday. But this time I'll remember the camera!

Busy weekends!

Last weekend was my sister's "Twins" birthday party. She got plenty of pictures including one of me sticking my head in the lions mouth that I hope she will send to me to post here. This coming weekend is my favorite non-religious holiday - 4th of July! I'll be spending Friday - Monday at my friend Marlo's cabin on Ennis lake. Her parents and two children will also be there and I can't wait! Sunshine, hopefully a camp fire and lots of good company are headed my way and boy am I ready!

Oh, and this picture is fitting because Suki is doing exactly what I'm going to be doing all weekend - LAYING IN THE SUN!!!

Saturday, June 27, 2009

First Sunburn of the Year

And I got it at work! It was slow at the vac shop today so I layed outside and soacked up the sun. The backs of my legs are tomato red. My arms and shoulders are a bit pink, but I think they'll be a nice tan by tomorrow. My legs however are going to keep me up tonight, I can already tell. I'm well past old enough to know better!

Yummy!

I am SO not a foodie, but I do love to cook. This is what I've been having for lunch for the last week. What you can't see in this picture is the dash of extra virgin olive oil, fresh cracked pepper and minced garlic. So good, and except for the pasta, so good for you!

My OTHER job

Ok, so I am an Independant Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay. I do not by any means work very hard at it. In fact I haven't been to a meeting since the last week of April. But! Last night my lovely friend Jill and 4 of her friends came to my house for a skin care class that we followed up with a trip to Santa Fe Red's where 2 of our other friends joined us and we had Mommy's and Lindsey's Night Out. It's been a very long time since I laughed so hard. The conversations about placentas and infected boobs however made me think long and hard about whether I EVER intend to have kids. Thanks for scaring the bejeezus out of me ladies!

Just for you Ev

I'm posting. Actually I'm sitting at my computer trying to figure out how my calling Cole on blowing me off 3 times in 5 weeks makes HIM angry. Can someone please explain that to me?

Wednesday, April 15, 2009

Ahem.

Do you see this? This is the view out my bedroom window. Does someone upstairs not know that it's April 15th?

R Bar, thanks for the memories!

Early Thursday morning a tragedy hit our little town. A gas leak downtown caused an explosion that ultimately ended up destroying 5 Main Street businesses. One of those businesses was the Rocking R Bar. My very first paying gig as a musician was at the R Bar. Once upon a time that was my home away from home. It sounds silly, but I feel like a huge part of my past was ripped away when that building burned. When Love of My Life and I went on our first date we followed up a hockey game with a trip to the R Bar. Music on Main wasn't complete without stopping at the R Bar for a vodka lemonade. Every Christmas Eve since I turned 21, after the family festivities were over I'd head downtown to the R Bar to meet up with classmates that were visiting. It was our yearly class reunion or sorts. The last couple of years it had been over run with college students so my friends and I tended to go up the street to 317 or the Pour House, but the R was our miss-spent youth. I'm sure Mike and Ralph will re-build, but it won't the the same Rocking R Bar. It won't be ouR Bar.

It's still winter afterall.

I was really hoping that the 60 degree weather we had last week would mean that winter was over. No such luck. It's currently 14 degrees and falling. My friend Dane txted me earlier tonight that it's -30 with the wind where he is out in Eastern Montana. I'm sooooo over this! I want 75 and sunny! I want to float the river after work! I want to lay on my lawn with a good book and a bottle of sun tan oil! I want a marguerta!

Oscar Red Carpet Recap

Anyone who knows me even a little bit knows that I am obsessed with pop-culture. So, with that in mind, may I present my Oscar re-cap.

Let's start off with the first person on E!'s red carpet, Mylie Cyrus. I thought she looked like she skinned a molting fish and then bedazzled the bejezzes out of it. Also, you're 16! You're cute! Tyra Banks wants to turn you into her weird spawn! We get it! Could you please pretend that you have a modicum of class? Please? Yelling at Ryan Seacrest and compulsively chewing on your lip is not appropriate for the Oscar Red Carpet. What were you doing there, anyway?

Zack Effron, you looked like a greaser. Try shampoo.

Amy Adams is so cute I want to put her in my pocket and carry her around with me. And I loved the dress! Red dress with red hair - very brave, you rocked it!

Marisa Tomei's dress looked like oriental fans. I still haven't decided whether I liked it or not.

Loved the hue of Natalie Portman's dress. My mom thought it looked like Pepto, but I think it looked appropriately young and festive.

Ann Hathaway's first dress was stunning, but I could've done without the one she wore for the skit with Hugh Jackman.

Hugh Jackman, by the by, is a beautiful, beautiful specimen of a man.

Tilda Swinton, I feel like I need to say something, but what? Blah seems to be her norm. The scary hair and makeup she sported in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was quite possibly the closest she's ever come to looking human. Blush! Mascara! Eyeshadow! They are your friends!

Kate Winslet can do no wrong.

Meryl Streep looked fab.

Sophia Loren looked old. Oh wait, she is. I don't remember her looking like that in Grumpier Old Men though. Of course that was what, 15 years ago?

Holy craptastic, Bat Man! Angelina's ear rings and cocktail ring were gorgeous! As was she, as always.

Last but not least, the entire cast of Slumdog Millionaire made me smile. I think they and only they understood just what an honor it is to be at the Academy Awards.

This weeks playlist

Every week I make myself a new playlist for the 'pod to listen to while driving to and from work. For lack of anything better to post about today, this's it.

1. Nickleback - Something in Your Mouth - It's about a stripped and yet I love it!
2. Jason Aldean - She's Country
3. Keith Whitley - I Told You So - for the record I think that Carrie Underwood's version is a travesty.
4. Jason Mraz - I'm Yours
5. Danny Elfman - The Little Things
6. Little Big Town - Boondocks
7. Lynryd Skynryd - Gimme Three Steps
8. Ashley Monroe - I Don't Want To
9. Randy Rogers Band - Kiss Me In The Dark
10. Lady Antebelum - Lookin' For a Good Time

Only 6 are country! Wonder's never cease.

Why?

The kiddos made me a Valentine that I was going to take pictures of and post on here, but after working 11 hours straight without a break on Friday I forgot it sitting in my in-box at work. So...we'll tackle something else today.

It's beyond time for me to get back out there and start dating. Friday afternoon a guy that I've known for a couple of years called me up and asked me to go to lunch today. No sooner had I assented than he started making excuses, and I mean every excuse under the sun, that he wasn't going to be able to make it. He called me! I'm completely confused by this. Can someone please explain it to me?

Anyway, since I have today off and my spidey senses tell me he's not going to show for lunch, I made plans with Jen to have lunch, see a movie, window shop downtown, meet Heather for coffee and then grab dinner.

And now I'm off to work out!

UPDATE: Ok, so he never called. Which is a little weird because I just looked at my phone and realized that he called me 6 times on Saturday. Whatever. Not going to worry about it.

And the movie, "He's Just Not That Into You," is a renter. I thought with a cast like that it couldn't be anything but good but I was wrong. I probably would have a different opinion if it had been a half hour shorter. A full two hours to be beaten over the head with the same completely obvious relationship advice is a little much. Do yourself a favor; just add it to your Netflix que.

UPDATE NUMERO DUCE: I forgot to mention that while watching the movie I kept wanting to yell at the movie screen, "Grab your purse and leave!" or, "Shut up now and hang up!" or, "Kick his sorry ass to the curb! You deserve better!" Unfortunately you can't do that in a public movie theater. One more reason to just rent it and watch it at home.

Thank you, Rory.

See this one? Her name is Rory. Rory is not very bright.

I was headed to church this morning, intending to get there early so that I could tune up my guitar and practice my offertory before the rest of the band got there. Rory had other plans.

I headed down the stairs carrying my guitar. Rory came from behind me and ran between my feet. I tripped and fell down the stairs. My guitar came down on my right knee and instantly left a goose egg. I fell back against the stair treds and now have an enormous bruise on my back. It is black as black can be.

Thanks, Rory. You realize that I'm the one who feeds you and cleans your litter box, right?

Korman aka: Turtle

Where to start with Korman...We met through a mutual musician friend and hit it off immediately. I can't remember why I started calling her The Turtle, but she started calling me dude at one point too. I think it had something to do with Finding Nemo?
Turtle's one of my best friends even though she lives just outside Seattle and I very rarely get to see her. So rarely in fact that I missed her wedding this last August. The job that almost killed me wouldn't let me take the weekend off to go to the wedding. Thank GOD I don't work at that company anymore!
Korman and I share a deep and abiding love for The Girls Next Door. So much in fact that there have been serious conversations about boycotting E! when the show ends in two weeks. We also share a love of Janet Evanovich books, although we both think that she's been phoning it in with her last couple of books. We used to see ourselves in Stephanie Plum, especially the whole eye twitch thing, but now she's just predictable. She was one of two people who's response to my naming my cats Rory and Suki was, "I love the Gilmore Girls!"
Now she likes to remind me that on the show Suki was the fat one, not Rory. Oops.

The punks.

These are the punks. Clockwise from top left: Ruby, Isabel and Dillon. They are all in their new Christmas pajamas. I think Evan snapped this picture right before they drove home. That's me in the middle. Don't stare to long. You might crack your computer screen.

My sisterling.

This is my sister Evan. She's almost as insane as I am. Almost. This is why I love her.

Evan's husband is Kurt. They have 3 children, Isabel who's 6, Ruby who's 4 and Dillon who's 2. Her blog is http://westragang.blogspot.com/. They are in the process of adopting a little boy from Ethiopia. He will hopefully be arriving sometime in July or August. Kurt and Evan will be leaving for a week in June to go to Africa and visit the orphanage. Hopefully all will go well.

Evan is my rock. She's also my sounding board. We don't really have much in common other than shared genes. And even those don't show much. Still, she is my sister and I love her.

Where to start

Ok, so here's the deal: I'm literally weeks away from 29. I'm female. I'm single. I live in a small town in Montana. I work for a soda distributor and I love my job. Most days. I also teach private music lessons. I have two cats. Those are the basics.

The not-so-basics: My ENTIRE family lives within 20 minutes of me. For the most part we get along, but like all families we have our moments. I dated a man whom I am still convinced is the love of my life for 4 1/2 years. We broke up in August. Everyone thinks I'm crazy, but there you go. I am currently obsessed with Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. I'm doing at more of a 90 day program. Today is day 35? Something like that. I've gained 5 lbs and dropped a jeans size. Riddle me that one.

Obviously there's more to me than this, but it's a start. We'll see where this goes.
